Amazon miniTV will present its new short film “Clean”

NEW DELHI: Amazon’s ad-supported service miniTV has started airing new short film To clean, in collaboration with Sikhya Entertainment from Guneet Monga. Written and directed by Zoya Parvin, To clean stars Amrita Puri and Aisha Ahmed.

“We are proud of our association with Sikhya Entertainment, which has always been able to bring fresh, relevant and entertaining stories to audiences. Amazon miniTV offers a large collection of award-winning shorts and we are delighted to bring Clean to our viewers across India for free, ”Harsh Goyal, Amazon’s advertising manager, said in a statement.

Launched in May, miniTV is an ad-supported free video service available in Amazon’s Android app that offers a library of web series, comedy skits, tech videos, lifestyle, and cooking to start with. Last July, it announced its comedy content lineup on the service which includes skits curated by creators such as Ashish Chanchlani, Prajakta Koli, Amit Bhadana, Dolly Singh, Saloni Gaur and Be YouNick.

With this launch, Amazon offers two video entertainment offerings: miniTV and Prime Video. The latter requires a Prime membership and offers a collection of Amazon Originals, movies and TV shows, in English and nine Indian languages. Viewers can access Prime Video on the app or stream it to their smart TVs. miniTV, available on Amazon’s shopping app for Android phones, will expand to the iOS app and mobile web over the coming months.

In India, Amazon is known for shows such as The family man, Mirzapur, four more shots please and Made in paradise in addition to live-to-digital movies like Shershaah, Coolie # 1 and Gulabo Sitabo. Earlier this year, it announced its first mobile-only plan in the world, starting with India.

Launched in conjunction with telecommunications company Bharti Airtel, the Amazon plan is only available to prepaid Airtel users in several forms – a 30-day free trial, which can be followed by a 28-day plan at the price of ??89 for Prime Video content with 6 GB of data.
